Shri Basant Kumar Khetan, Pro Chancellor(Assam Kaziranga University) is the Director – Khetan Group of Industries which comprises of Neccon Power & Infra Ltd.; North Eastern Cables Pvt. Ltd.; Toor Finance Ltd.; Topline Finvest Pvt. Ltd; Brahmaputra Infra Power Pvt Ltd. The Group has diversified businesses in Manufacturing; Hydropower & Finance sectors and has an impressive list of clientele. Of late Mr. Khetan developed interest in education and has been instrumental in establishing the 1st private university in Upper Assam as a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the Khetan Group. Within three years of its existence, the Assam Kaziranga University has emerged as the best private university not only in the State of Assam but in the entire North East.

After completing his graduation from J. B College, Jorhat, Mr. Khetan joined the family business. He subsequently partnered with ITC Ltd. and Kothari Product Ltd. for setting up their manufacturing units in Assam. He has spearheaded all the mega projects executed by the Khetan Group of Companies in the area of Power distribution in the states of North East. He has developed several sub-stations for central Assam and has successfully handed them over to the Assam State Electricity Board.

As Pro- Chancellor of the Kaziranga University and the Secretary of NEKF, the holding Trust of the University he heads the administration and the development of the University campus, assets and guides the team to achieve excellence and quality.

Rainy Khetan, Pro Chancellor(Assam Kaziranga University) Ms. Rainy Khetan is the Pro Chancellor, The Assam Kaziranga University, and is the Trustee of the North Eastern Knowledge Foundation (NEKF). Actively involved in the development and promotion of education in the region, Ms. Khetan is one among the few young business entrepreneurs of North-East India.

Ms. Khetan obtained her Bachelor's degree in Business Management, with a specialization in Marketing, following which she completed an MBA in Media and Entertainment, specializing in Event Management, Advertising and Digital Marketing. She has worked with leading event management companies in Bangalore, India and has successfully worked on several Industry projects as well.  

With remarkable experience in the field of administration, advertising and events, Ms. Khetan heads the administration and business promotion of the The Assam Kaziranga University. She has been actively involved in the organization and promotion of several mega-events in the University and has also been mentoring and guiding the Admissions and Placement teams with her tremendous experience in branding and marketing.

Ms. Khetan is committed to leading the University in the right direction for delivering quality education and opportunities to the youth of the region, helping aid in the growth and development of North-East India.

Dr. P.K. Mishra, Vice-Chancellor(Assam Kaziranga University) Born in 1965, Dr. P.K.Mishra earned his M.Sc.(1987) and Ph.D.(1990) in Chemistry from Utkal University, Bhubaneswa. He is the recipient of Junior Research Fellowship(JRF), Senior Reseach Fellowship(SRF) and Research Associateship(RA) from Council of Scientific and Industrial Research(CSIR), Govt. of India. 

He has research experience from Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics(SINP), Kolkata and Bhabha Atomic Research Centre(BARC), Mumbai in the area of Nuclear Chemistry.

He is having 10 International Journal Publications to his credit and many conference proceedings.

He was selected for both the INDO-Czechoslovakia Research Fellowship and the INDO-USSR Research Fellowship, Govt. of India in 1990. 

He is having academic, administrative and entrepreneurship  experience in Govt. of Odisha, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology(KIIT) and KIIT Deemed University, Bhubaneswar.

In 2007, Dr. Mishra was selected to participate in the prestigious International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) organized by the U.S. Department of State—an acknowledgment of his growing influence in the field of education and visited many prestigious US Universities which includes, University of Washington, North Carolina University, University of Miamai, Duke University.

In 1999, with a vision to harness the power of Information Technology in education management, Dr. Mishra co-founded Kalingasoft. Under his leadership, the organization became one of the early pioneers in introducing Wi-Fi technology, Converged Network and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in educational institutions—well ahead of its time in the 1990s.

With his vast experience and strategic insight, Dr. Mishra has been instrumental in advising and  establishing several leading professional universities, including -The Assam Don Bosco University, Guwahati, Techno India NJR Institute of Technology, Rajasthan and presently working as Vice Chancellor of The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat, assam.

Beyond institutional development, Dr. Mishra has played an active role in numerous academic conferences and workshops, often serving as Patron or Organizing Chair.

Prof. (Dr.) H. Ravi Shankar Kamath, Registrar(Assam Kaziranga University) currently serves as the Registrar of The Assam Kaziranga University. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a Master’s degree (MTech) in Power and Energy Systems from NIT Suratkal, and earned his Ph.D. from Manipal University in 2008.

Dr. Kamath has held a range of academic and administrative positions over the course of his distinguished career, including Lecturer, Associate Professor, Professor, Dean of Research, Dean of Engineering, and Registrar at various reputed institutions across India. Prior to joining The Assam Kaziranga University, he served as the Registrar of Manipal University Jaipur and NMIMS University, Mumbai.

He has played a pivotal role in facilitating institutional accreditations at both Manipal University Jaipur and The Assam Kaziranga University. His contributions to the field of higher education extend beyond administrative roles—he has been actively involved as a visiting professor, resource person, expert member, and chairperson in numerous regional and national academic and professional bodies.
